Creative Slingers of Ink (CSI) started as an inquiry about having a book signing for Mandy Jo. She asked Karen, the owner of Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea Novi Town Center in Novi, MI if she could have a pop-up book signing. Karen invited Mandy Jo to check out the space, as she hadn’t been in because Mandy Jo doesn’t drink coffee or tea. Upon visiting, she asked Karen if she could have friends with her, as the size of the space would accommodate at least 4 authors at 4’ tables. Karen agreed. From there Mandy Jo made signs to put up in the cafe announcing who the authors were and when they would be there. Karen started getting authors inquiring about having a part of the book signings. She forwarded those inquiries to Mandy Jo. and the group was formed and continues to evolve and grow.

 

Group Purpose: This group is for writers of all levels. We are here to encourage you to write that first word or your next word. The intent of this group is for encouragement, networking, learning, and friendship.

 

The group will communicate in English, however, writers of all languages are welcome. You may find books that are written in a language other than English.

 

We support and encourage Indie Authors. 

 

What’s an Indie Author? An Indie Author is one who self-publishes or publishes using a small press publisher.
